About Unpause

The menopause journey is easy to lose track of. It's easier with a record.

What you experience can change from day to day, and it's easy to forget how things have been over time. We built Unpause to help you keep a record of what you're experiencing, understand your own patterns, and have something useful to look back on when you need it.

Why we built it

Manisha kept watching the same thing happen. Patients left with instructions they found difficult to carry into everyday life, and often lost track of what was changing between appointments.

The problem wasn't always a lack of information. It was that little carried between one appointment and the next except what someone could remember under pressure, sometimes months after the fact.

What you get

Everything here has a purpose.

These are the ways Unpause helps you understand what you're experiencing and decide what to explore next.

Ask Unpause when you have a question

When something you're experiencing makes you wonder what's going on, you can ask Unpause and explore the question using trusted information and, where relevant, what you've already recorded.

A simple daily check-in

Record the things that matter to you, such as sleep, symptoms, mood and energy, in a few minutes, or use your voice to help fill in your entry.

Your personal picture

As your record grows, Unpause can help you see changes and comparisons based on your own history rather than comparing you with an average person.

Notice changes over time

As you keep checking in, Unpause can help you notice changes in what you've been recording and understand them in the context of your own history.

A clearer view of your week

See what you've recorded during the week, how things have changed, and what you may want to pay attention to next.

A reflection that's yours

Reflect on how your month has been in your own words. It's not a test or diagnosis, and your answers aren't turned into a score.

A clearer record for your appointments

Bring a summary of what you've recorded to your healthcare professional, including relevant sleep, symptoms, mood and other information over time. Spend less time trying to remember what happened and more time discussing what you want to explore next.

Your information stays under your control

Access and download the information you've recorded from your account when you need it, as a spreadsheet or a PDF.

How we work

Built with care and accountability.

Three things we do, each specific enough that you could hold us to it.

Reviewed before publication

Our health content goes through editorial and clinical review before publication, with review dates so content can be revisited over time.

A reflection, not a test

Monthly check-ins ask how your month has been. Your reflection is not a diagnostic test or a clinical score.

Your experience, not an average

Where comparisons are available, Unpause focuses on changes in your own recorded history rather than presenting population averages as if they describe you.

What changes

What changes when you start keeping a record

Here is what can become easier once you have a record instead of relying on memory.

You stop losing the thread

When someone asks how you've been, you have something concrete to look back on instead of relying entirely on memory.

You start seeing your own experience more clearly

Instead of relying on general information alone, you can look at what you've actually recorded and what changes you notice over time.

Appointments can start with something concrete

Bring a clearer record of what you've been experiencing, so you and your healthcare professional can spend less time reconstructing the past from memory.

You don't have to start from scratch

When relevant, Unpause can connect your questions with the information you've already recorded, helping you explore your experience without having to explain everything again.
